Description


 
This 3000 hectare urban zone was newly developed in the Vietnamese city of Hai Phong. The scope of work for this project included the conceptual and detailed design of all transportation infrastructure servicing this development. In total this entailed the design of 44km of urban roads and streets, numerous small bridges, over- and underpasses and 27 intersections. Also included in the scope of work was the complete design of a cable-stayed bridge crossing the river as an entrance way to Vu Yen island. This cable-stayed bridge has a main span of 102m which is supported by one single pylon. The total length of this bridge is 370m and the width of the pre-stressed concrete cross-section is 13m.
